Founder

Jayde Kroeker is a Registered Social Worker based in Alberta, Canada and the founder of The Pet Loss Club (TPLC)—a supportive community created to help people navigate the grief of losing a beloved animal companion. With a Bachelor of Social Work and years of experience supporting individuals through trauma, loss, and life transitions, Jayde combines professional training with a deeply personal understanding of the human-animal bond. Her work focuses on creating compassionate spaces where grief is validated, stories are shared, and people can remember their pets without feeling pressure to "move on." Through TPLC, Jayde hosts grief support circles, educational sessions, and community gatherings that help pet parents process guilt, honor continuing bonds with their pets, and find connection with others who understand this unique kind of loss. At the heart of Jayde's work is the belief that grieving a pet is not something to minimize—it is something to honor. The love we share with animals is profound, and their impact on our lives deserves space, compassion, and remembrance. When she isn't working with the TPLC community, Jayde can usually be found exploring the Canadian Rockies with her three dogs—Paprika, Rosemary, and Poppy.
