By creating an account or using The Pet Loss Club app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to use this app. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement.

The Pet Loss Club provides a private community for grief support after pet loss. The app includes memorial creation, community posts and comments, private journaling, AI-generated letters to and from your pet, live events with Jayde, and curated grief support resources. Features may change over time as we continue to improve the experience.

The Pet Loss Club is a peer support and self-help app. It is NOT a substitute for professional mental health care, medical advice, or crisis intervention. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or are in crisis, please contact a licensed mental health professional or one of these resources:

• Crisis Text Line — text HOME to 741741 (US)

Or contact your local emergency services.

To keep this community a safe and supportive space, the following behaviors are prohibited:

• Harassment, hate speech, or threats directed at any person or group.
• Spam, unsolicited promotions, or commercial advertising.
• Impersonating another person or entity.
• Sharing another person's private content without their consent.
• Posting medical, legal, or financial advice.
• Any use of the app for commercial promotion without prior written consent.

Admins reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, at their sole discretion.

You retain ownership of the content you post — including memorials, community posts, journal entries, and photos. By posting content that is visible to other members, you grant The Pet Loss Club a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content within the app for the purpose of operating the service. We do not claim ownership of your content and you may delete it at any time.

The "Letters from Your Pet" feature uses artificial intelligence to generate text based on prompts you provide. The output is generative and not literal — it is a creative tool for emotional comfort, not a real message from your pet. The AI may produce imperfect or unexpected results. Do not rely on AI-generated letters for life decisions. We are not responsible for the emotional impact of AI-generated content.

The Pet Loss Club offers an optional monthly subscription that unlocks premium features including live events with Jayde, premium content rooms, and more. Pricing is shown in the app at the point of purchase.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.

You can manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings (iOS) or Google Play subscriptions (Android). Cancelling stops the next renewal but does not refund the current billing period.

Free trials, if offered, automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

The app, its design, logos, written content (other than user-generated content), and the AI letter system are the intellectual property of The Pet Loss Club. You may not copy, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our prior written permission.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time by emailing jaydek@thepetlossclub.com. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, freedom from errors, or that the app will meet your specific needs. We are not responsible for content posted by other users, and we do not endorse any user-generated content.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Pet Loss Club is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, State of [STATE] (to be completed by the app owner). Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the app will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, conducted in [STATE]. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
