Professional pet loss support & grief community everyone can access.

Losing a beloved pet can be one of life's most painful experiences. While one-to-one counseling can be incredibly valuable, ongoing support isn't always accessible due to cost, availability, or finding the right fit.

The Pet Loss Club was created to make compassionate, professional pet grief support more accessible through live support, research-informed resources, memorial events, and a community led by a registered social worker.

Why We Exist

Everyone deserves support after pet loss.

Grief doesn't end after a single conversation.

Many people need support over weeks and months as they navigate anticipatory grief, the loss of a beloved companion, guilt, loneliness, and learning to live in a world that has changed.

Research has consistently shown that social support plays an important role in grief, helping people feel less alone while improving emotional wellbeing. That's why community isn't just something we offer — it's part of the healing process.

At The Pet Loss Club, we've combined professional guidance, evidence-informed education, practical resources, and compassionate community into one place that is available whenever you need it.

Founder

Meet Jayde

Hi, I'm Jayde.

I'm a Registered Social Worker (RSW), Certified Pet Loss Specialist, and the founder of The Pet Loss Club.

After losing my grandmother, I found myself turning to my dogs for comfort. They became my safe place. That experience made me realize something I couldn't ignore: while there were many spaces dedicated to human grief, there were very few created specifically for people grieving the loss of a beloved pet.

That realization became The Pet Loss Club.

My goal has never been to tell people how to grieve. Instead, it's to create a place where grief is welcomed, where your pet's life is remembered, and where you never have to explain why your heart hurts so deeply.

Through The Pet Loss Club, I combine my background in social work, grief education, and trauma-informed practice with a genuine passion for helping people feel seen, supported, and less alone. Whether through educational resources, support circles, workshops, or our community, everything we create is designed to gently meet you wherever you are in your grief.

Outside of this work, you'll usually find me exploring the mountains with my three dogs, creating new resources for the community, or continuing to learn about grief, healing, and the extraordinary bond we share with the animals we love.

I'm so glad you found this space.

Writing Through Grief: An Online Therapeutic Writing Workshop

Writing can offer us a gentle way to explore our grief, make meaning of our experiences, and reconnect with ourselves. In this online workshop, we'll begin with a brief introduction to therapeutic writing, including some of the history and research behind the practice. From there, you'll be guided through a series of reflective writing exercises designed to help you slow down, notice what is present for you, and put words to your experience. Together we'll create space for permission, self-reflection, free writing, and optional communal sharing before closing with an exercise to set an intention for the week ahead as you continue navigating grief. No writing experience is necessary—just bring something to write with and a willingness to meet yourself wherever you are today.
